The Bay Oaks subdivision was said to have been built atop the site where a massacre took place, involving Native Americans who attacked Dutch settlers. Arrowheads and pottery have been found on the grounds and it has been reported that the spirits here usually appear only to those of Dutch ancestry. Other reports here include cold spots, streaks and orbs.
